Feb 11, 2004 - Recollections of a Canadian Astronomer - Don Morton

Don Morton retired in 2000 as Director General of the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics of the NRC. Born in Kapuskasing Ontario in 1933, Don grew up in Toronto, and joined the RASC in 1952! As a professional astronomer he has worked in the United States, Australia and Canada making observations from space and from the ground, developing instrumentation and managing research organizations. Following his retirement in 2001 from Canada's National Research Council, he has continued with astronomical research as well as his long-time hobbies of mountaineering and model building.

Interesting slides on a life dedicated to astronomy.
