Press Release

Weather permitting, at 4:30 pm on November 8, members of the Victoria Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada will be setting up their telescopes at Cattle Point in Oak Bay to view the Lunar Eclipse as the moon passes through the earth's dark shadow. Also it is your last chance to view Mars, still a sight to behold as it recedes from Earth.

The public is invited to look through the telescopes and learn various techniques of capturing the Lunar Eclipse on camera. If you have a sturdy tripod and a camera with a cable-release shutter, bring it along, as you might take some memorable Moon shots.
