Victoria Centre celebrates International Astronomy Day

"Vacations In Space: The Hottest Holiday Spots in the Solar System." - Dr. Bob McDonald (Quirks & Quarks). It's a fun presentation that looks to the future when people will go into space for fun, not just for science. Starts at 7:30PM in Lecture Theatre A104, Bob Wright Bldg.

Observe celestial objects in the night sky through UVic's 32" big telescope. Other telescopes will be available on the roof of the Bob Wright building.

The lucky winner for the Victoria Centre�s Telescope Raffle Draw for the 12� dob was Byron Bohlman from Canmore, Alberta. He held the winning ticket #42. Proceeds from this raffle will be used for the Centre�s �Public Outreach Program�. Thanks to all for their support by buying a ticket. There will be another opportunity at next year�s IAD.
