September 15th 2008

Sir James Douglas School, Fairfield

The Victoria Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and the Fairfield Community Association will present a Night Sky Viewing event on September 15th 2008, 6:00 pm to 10:00 at the Garry Oak Room, Sir James Douglas School and in the playgrounds nearby.

There will be inside activities: telescopic equipment demonstrations, audiovisual presentations relating to the night sky as well as night sky telescope viewing (weather permitting). Last time we staged this community event about 100 members of the public took the opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the night sky with telescopes provided by the members of the Victoria Centre. Please attend this return engagement to have some fun and see some stars!
